Camp K Highlighted Programs

Great American Backyard Campout at CNC

June 26-27, 2010
Come & sleep out under the stars at CNC. Bring a picnic dinner, your camping gear and silly song or two. This event is $15 per tent for Camp Kingfisher Families. If the event does not sell out we will open registration to CNC Members on June 18th at the cost of $30 per tent. Family Evenings at Camp

Participating families have the opportunity to experience an evening at the Nature Center. Bring a picnic dinner, go on a dusk hike, see an animal, make a craft and sing lots of silly songs. For more information, including dates, a sample schedule and what to bring, click here.

Barred Owl & Great Horned Owl & Travel Program Overnights

THIS EVENT IS ONLY FOR CAMPERS REGISTERED IN FULL TWO-WEEK SESSIONS ONLY

Do you know just how fun it is to sleep over at camp? You will soon. See nature at night, make smores, play games and when you wake up, you are already here! Barred Owl campers entering 4th & 5th grade, Great Horned Owl campers entering 6th & 7th Grade and Travel Program campers entering 8th & 9th Grade campers all have a separate overnight experience.

One of the perks of enrolling in a full 2-week session is participating in extra activities. We hope this encourages you to try the 2-week experience soon.

"Characters of the Watershed" - A Drama Nature Specialty Camp

Characters of the Watershed is a fantastic 1-week summer program for campers entering grades 2 - 5 who are interested in theater arts and nature exploration. Registration for this program is through Georgia Ensemble Theater www.get.org or (770) 641-1260 and begins in late January. For more information about the program, click here..

Travel Program (Campers entering 8th & 9th Grade)

This program is especially designed for older campers to explore Georgia in a new way. Trips include hiking, biking, caving, paddling, a CNC overnight and high ropes course. Limited to 10 campers in each session so sign up early!

Adventure abounds as both campers and our educators discover the natural wonders in metro Atlanta and beyond. Participants will bring their experience back to camp in the form of a CNC service project.
