Night Hike
Saturday, May 25; 8 – 10pm; Ages 5 – adult; $10 General Public and $7 CNC Members
Start the summer of the right way by getting outdoors! Join a CNC naturalist to see what happens as the sun goes down and the night comes to life! Hike the CNC trails, visit with a nocturnal animal up close and enjoy a campfire complete with marshmallow roasting.
Pee-Wee Naturalist Summer Series
Tuesdays, June 11, July 9, August 13, 9:45 – 11:00am
Ages 3 and 4; $50 General Public/$40 CNC Members (price per session; adult helper required and admitted free) Advance Registration Required by June 6th
It’s summer and a GREAT time to get your little one outside and connected to nature. Join a CNC naturalist and explore nature through animal encounters, art projects, and natural world investigations, including trail walks and interactive activities covering Wonderful Water, Powerful Pollinators, and Animal Antics!
Night Hike

Summer is here and that means that heading out to CNC at night is the PERFECT way to enjoy nature. Bring a friend or the entire family to hike through the woodlands or wetlands of CNC and discover how active the evening can be in the outdoors. You will even get to visit with one of our non-releasable nocturnal animals up close. And the best way to end a night hike is roasting marshmallows around the campfire.

Summer days in Georgia can be hot, so head out to CNC during a night hike to enjoy nature when it’s a little bit cooler. Wildlife becomes more active in the evening during the summer so join a naturalist on an outdoor journey to see what happens when the sun sets! Explore the woodlands and wetlands, visit with a nocturnal animal up close and enjoy a summer campfire complete with marshmallow roasting.

The summer has almost come to an end but there is still time to have a night-time adventure at CNC! Join a naturalist on an outdoor journey to see what happens at night at CNC! Explore the woodlands or wetlands of CNC, visit with one of our non-releasable nocturnal animals and end the evening with time around the campfire roasting marshmallows.
Backyard Campout
Saturday, August 31 – Sunday, September 1, 5:00pm-10:00am
$45 General Public Families/$35 CNC Member Families (price per tent), Advance Registration Required
A close-by staycation at CNC for Labor Day is a perfect weekend! Join us for a campout at CNC this holiday weekend. Sleep out under the stars, enjoy night hikes, play games on the meadow, visit with nocturnal animals, roast marshmallows around the campfire and more! scheduling@chattnaturecenter.org or by calling 770-992-2055 ext. 237 Spaces are limited so please register early. To receive the member rate you must join at the family level or higher.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
If a class is cancelled for any reason you will receive a full refund. If you wish to cancel your reservation, please contact our office at least six business days prior to your scheduled program. $10 of your registration fee will be retained by CNC. You will receive confirmation when we receive your cancellation. If you do not receive confirmation within one business day, we have not received your cancellation. No refunds will be given for cancellations made fewer than 6 business days prior to your scheduled program. Refunds will be paid by check, please allow 4 – 6 weeks.
