Visit with many fish, frogs and toads in our Discovery Center. They are important to the eco-systems in which they live.Several native, non-venomous snakes are on exhibit at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Did you know that some, the mole Kingsnake, eat other snakes? Learn how the corn snake got its name, and learn about their relatives, the black rat snake and the yellow rat snake, just to name a few.

Eastern box turtles are the only land turtle in the northern half of Georgia. They can live more than 75 years, and only travel 5 miles their whole life! Visit with our female, non-releasable box turtles and learn about these amazing shelled reptiles.
