CNC Continues to Host Blood Drives

Giving Back to the Community

November 5, 2021

Tamara Kinmon, Events Director at CNC will tell anyone how blood drives are near and dear to her heart.

April 2020 many businesses closed in order to slow the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, including CNC. Hosting a mobile blood drive was a natural way to offer the community an opportunity to give back during a time where they felt like many things were out of their control. CNC had a parking lot, a local community that loves to give to others, supportive staff, and LifeSouth had a mobile blood donation bus. It was a logical partnership.

CNC has continued to host blood drives on a quarterly basis since April 2020.

Iesha Parks with LifeSouth said this about Tamara and CNC’s commitment to providing regular mobile blood drives, “I’m so glad the blood drives are very meaningful to your heart, it honestly shows. You have a great understanding of how impactful blood donations are to our local hospitals. Without donors, those in the hospitals suffer. As you may know, each blood donation can save up to 3 lives, all your hard work and dedication have tremendously paid off. A total of 111 lives were saved in August! This is Awesome and LifeSouth couldn’t have done it without your help!”

Regarding the latest blood drive in November, “Last Friday’s drive collected a total of 24 units! That’s 72 lives saved! This is Awesome and LifeSouth couldn’t have done it without your help and all your supporting donors. We look forward to a continued partnership with you in order to continue giving hope to our fellow neighbors in need. Thanks so much for all your continued support!”

To date, the mobile blood drives hosted at CNC have saved over 450 lives! Giving blood saves lives and blood donations stay local. You can make a difference!
