How to help CNC now
These are unprecedented times.
All around the world, there is uncertainty and need. Be a part of providing some comfort in all the madness on May 5, 2020, by taking part in Giving Tuesday Now.
This may sound familiar. Each year, Giving Tuesday is the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the single largest day of giving in the world. With the chaos caused by COVID-19, economies are shut down and non-profits in particular are hurting, as are the people depending on them.
May 5, Giving Tuesday Now, is a day to come together to drive a spike of generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.
Our community depends on non-profits for help. 40,000 schoolchildren depend on CNC’s educational lessons about nature and wildlife. More than 500 injured wildlife annually depend on CNC’s veterinary capabilities to heal them and keep them alive. Native pollinators depend on CNC’s world-class gardens and horticulture knowledge to keep populations healthy.
And CNC depends on you.
With nearly two-thirds of CNC’s annual revenue from earned income – ticket sales, people through the door, and rentals – shutting down to the public during this crisis has harmed CNC and it’s mission deeply.
This is where Giving Tuesday Now comes in. You can use this day to help CNC and be a part of a world-wide effort to support communities.
Be a part of something bigger.
Together we can heal. Be a part of the solution. Show your support. No amount is too small.
Look to CNC’s social media for ways to donate and share the news that you support nature and nature education.
