Green weddings have become a popular trend with many couples as reducing your carbon footprint becomes more and more important. When spring arrives we welcome all things green as the trees, grass, and plants all begin to show their new green leaves for spring and we are reminded to go green in all parts of our lives, including weddings!

If you are looking for ideas on how to plan a green wedding, then look no further! Kathryn Paul shares eco-friendly ceremony ideas in her blog post titled “How to Plan an Eco-Friendly Wedding”. Paul’s ideas include many thoughtful and up to date suggestions that have become popular with couples hosting their weddings at the Chattahoochee Nature Center.

Hosting a wedding on the grounds of the Chattahoochee Nature Center already checks off some of the eco-friendly boxes.

>> The ceremony and reception can happen at the same location. The CNC grounds have multiple locations you can use for the ceremony and reception depending on the needs and size of your wedding.

>> If you are local, you are already picking a location close to home. There are many hotel options in Roswell that will keep your guests local too.

>> The natural beauty of the nature center grounds will limit the number of decorations and reduce time spent on set up. The colors of the season will further support your eco-friendly choices.

A great way to extend the eco-friendly, green wedding concept all the way to the end of your wedding day is to provide biodegradable confetti to your guests to shower you with wishes as you leave as a married couple.

Leaf confetti makes for a great eco-friendly wedding-exit toss, especially when they’re elegantly packaged in envelopes and placed on each of your guest’s seats. You can even choose leaves to complement your wedding aesthetic!

At the end of the day, all the little things add up. If we all do our best to impart some small changes in our everyday lives, we can make a big difference!
