Operational Changes due to Covid-19

Updated August 3, 2021

Chattahoochee Nature Center is actively monitoring COVID-19. Below are the steps we are taking to comply with federal, state, and local guidelines in order to protect visitors, staff, and our community. Here is what you can expect to see at CNC:

>> Advanced ticketing/reservations: CNC is currently implementing timed and limited admissions. While we may be able to accommodate walk-ups based on daily visitation, the only way to secure a spot for your visit is to pre-purchase admission online. We are also asking members to make advanced reservations for their visit (memberships will be verified upon arrival). Any purchases made at CNC will be via credit card only.

>> Social Distancing & Personal Protection: Masks are required indoors and optional outdoors, and are encouraged while in close proximity of others. Our 127 acres allow for social distancing.

>> Enhanced Cleaning: We have greatly enhanced our cleaning practices and will be cleaning high-touch surfaces and spaces throughout the day.

>> Modified Experiences: Our outdoor experiences are open. Year-round, you can enjoy our Trails, Gardens, and Wildlife Walk. Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventures is operating seasonally. Due to construction, the River Boardwalk Trail is currently closed. The lower level of the Discovery Center, including the Watershed Gallery and Nature Exchange, is open daily.

Please note: The Watershed Gallery may be closed for a short while at times during the day for sanitizing.

>> Modified Retail: Our retail area will be greatly modified, but will be open for purchases, including snacks and drinks. Any purchases made at CNC will be via credit card only.

>> Programs, Workshops, and Classes: Any in-person programs, workshops, and classes are modified, including limited class size. We continue to prioritize our outdoor spaces for programming. However, some portions of some programs/workshops/classes will be held indoors, if appropriate, based on the activity or weather.
