After the chaos of the Thanksgiving holidays, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday, be sure to keep Giving Tuesday in your mind to reap some karmic calm.
Giving Tuesday (or Georgia Gives Day here in Georgia) is December 3 this year, and a date that you – yes you – can help CNC in its efforts to connect people to nature. Support CNC this Georgia Gives Day on Giving Tuesday, December 3, and your donations will be doubled, doubling the impact you can have on CNC and its work. We promise to put your dollars to work to help connect people to the natural world around them and empower them to help protect Georgia’s resources for future generations to enjoy.
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Every year, on Giving Tuesday, millions of people across the globe mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet. Georgia Gives Day is part of this wave, helping Georgia non-profits and communities join in on the giving.
And this year, every donation is matched, up to $30,000 thanks to a generous grant from long-time supporters, Walter and Judy Hoyt. This is the perfect opportunity to take part in something larger than any one of us, joining with others who support CNC and its mission of connecting people to nature, in sometimes small ways that lead to huge impacts.
Adding to the donating fuel is Facebook. For Giving Tuesday this year, Facebook is matching all donations made through the platform, beginning at 8 AM EDT. Simply log into Facebook and find CNC’s page. There is a cap on what Facebook will match, and last year they ran out within five minutes! So be sure to donate early! Here’s our handy step-by-step guide to prepping to give.
