Nature Club Dine and Discover: Gordon Rogers, Flint Riverkeeper
October 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
It can be difficult to imagine how, in a state that averages nearly 70 inches of annual precipitation in its mountainous regions and between 40 and 50 inches elsewhere, Georgia routinely experiences real water shortages, including major streams and rivers that run dry. Thirty years of litigation overflows with Georgia’s neighboring states underscore the fact that water could be managed more effectively inside Georgia’s borders. Learn about many of the strategies currently being used to restore the water flow, while increasing the economic resiliency of the farms and communities that depend on rivers.
The October Nature Club Dine and Discover will be held virtually through Zoom. Registration is required to receive the Zoom link prior to the event.
