The Nature Club: Finding the Flint
Join Hannah Palmer of Finding the Flint in-person at CNC for an exciting presentation on the natural world. Finding the Flint launched in 2017 with the ambitious goal of putting the Flint River’s headwaters back on the map in an urban area that includes 4 cities, 2 counties, and the world’s busiest airport. Hannah Palmer, southside author leading the Finding the Flint project, will discuss collaborating across jurisdictions, shifting perceptions of a forgotten river and undervalued neighborhoods, and delivering community benefits while we try to restore the headwaters of Georgia’s second longest river.
Attend in-person at 7PM in the CNC Plaza Conference Room and bring a dish to share for the potluck. Make new friends and connections at Nature Club while learning all at the same time. Hannah will begin her presentation at 7:30PM.
Ages 16+. $10 general public / $5 CNC Members. Advanced Registration Required. Register by the Wednesday before the program.
