The Nature Club: Fascinating World of Fungi

Join Sam Landes of the Mushroom Club of Georgia to learn all about mushrooms.  Many know that mushrooms are fun to forage for, but how many know that mushrooms help plants share nutrients and communicate through chemical signals?  Or that fungi could be instrumental in cleaning oil spills and other toxic waste.  Fungi can even be made into compostable containers.  Sam is a retired Montessori teacher and has been Treasurer of the Mushroom Club of Georgia since 2010.  Attend in person at 7pm in the CNC Plaza Conference Room and bring a dish to share for the potluck.  Make new friends and connections at Nature Club while learning all at the same time.  Sam’s presentation will begin at 7:30pm.

$10 general public / $5 CNC Members (Ages 16+). Advanced Registration Required by Wednesday, May 24.
