Would you like to spend time outdoors in a beautiful setting as part of your job and represent Atlanta’s premiere nature destination within the community? The Chattahoochee Nature Center has an opportunity for a Marketing Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will be collaborating with internal and external partners daily to get the word out in the Atlanta metropolitan and Southeast regional areas related to the amazing experiences available at the nature center.

Founded in 1976, the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) is a private, nonprofit environmental education/nature facility in Roswell, Georgia. The CNC is located on 127 acres adjacent to the Chattahoochee River and consists of river marsh, freshwater ponds, and wooded uplands.

 

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes, experience, and personal characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years marketing and communications experience, including providing creative support for internal and external communication efforts such as print publications, website, electronic communications, community engagement, and media/video productions. Ability to capture video/photos and create videos for YouTube, social media, website, blogs, and other uses from events and campus year-round.
  • Experience in assisting in the development and execution of the CNC marketing and communications strategy. Along with identifying, developing, and executing a communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references. Ongoing outreach in the community with key contacts is a MUST.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with designing and launching email marketing and social media campaigns, ensuring that CNC produces a high-quality and compelling copy is desirable.
  • Ability to develop fresh story ideas across all departments and events, to represent CNC at special events on-site and in the community.
  • Keen interest and passion for nature, conservation and wildlife and relationships/contacts within the community highly preferred.

 

Requirements:

At least one item demonstrating your experience and proficiency in video production, both formal and informal video production.

Position provides an attractive compensation package, including health insurance plan, 401k, paid time off, and a flexible work schedule.
