The Nature Club Dine and Discover – Amphibian Foundation
4th Thursday January – October
Join Mark Mandica, Executive Director of the Amphibian Foundation to learn all about the conservation work of the organization. Mark’s work puts him on the front line in the efforts to conserve declining native and tropical amphibians. Mark’s academic interests were originally broadly based on the form, function, and evolution of amphibians, with particular interest in the biomechanics of feeding: prey detection, capture, and transport. He has also explored the amphibian community ecology of the Everglades, as well as the prey detection and feeding mechanisms of aquatic frogs.
Join CNC in person in the Plaza Conference Room for a potluck dinner (bring a dish to share) at 7PM and then an exciting speaker on the natural world at 7:30PM. Make new friends and connections at Nature Club while learning all at the same time.
Ages 16+. 10 general public / $5 CNC Members. Advanced Registration Required by the Wednesday, February 25.
