Introduction to Organics Diversion and Compostable Products with Jana Pearce

Join Jana Pearce of the Biodegradable Products Institute to learn all about why compostable products matter – like helping to keep food scraps out of landfills, improving soil health, and supporting a more sustainable future.  Jana will also share what makes a product truly compostable, how these products fit into organics recycling, as well as some of the challenges and exciting opportunities in the compostable products world.

Jana’s love for nature and background in fisheries and wildlife sparked her passion for connecting human and natural systems.  Jana previously held several positions at Chattahoochee Nature Center within the center’s education department where she created a CNC program on consumer science.

Attend in person at 7PM in the CNC Plaza Conference Room and bring a dish to share for the potluck.  Make new friends and connections at Nature Club while learning all at the same time. The presentation will begin at 7:30PM.

Ages 16+. $10 general public / $5 CNC Members. Advanced Registration Required. Register by Wednesday, July 23.
