Trails

Six wooded hiking trails including ADA-compliant River Boardwalk Trail cover beautiful Georgia Piedmont forest and can easily make visitors feel that they are far away from the city. All trails feature an abundance of plant and wildlife, year-round birding, and are perfect for beginners and experienced hikers.

Canoeing

When you canoe with CNC, your naturalist will enlighten you on the cultural and natural history of the river. You’ll learn about important ecological relationships and environmental issues that affect this endangered river, while enjoying its peaceful qualities.

Wildlife

The Wildlife Department at the Chattahoochee Nature Center focuses on education and rehabilitation. Dozens of species of native Georgia raptors and reptiles call CNC home.

Horticulture

CNC is proud to be involved with the protection, restoration and safeguarding of the many rare and endangered plant species of Georgia. Whether your interest is in gardening, horticulture, education, or science, CNC will keep you engaged with nature.
