Whether it’s hiking, canoeing, or just taking a stroll, CNC has something for everyone. With 127 acres on the Chattahoochee River, the possibilities for fun with nature are infinite! Learn all about your backyard with the only Nature Exchange in the Southeast, or explore the birds of prey in the aviaries of the Wildlife Walk. Bring the family, have a picnic, and make a day of it!
The Black Vulture and Turkey Vulture are temporarily off exhibit until their aviary can be rebuilt and provide a safe space for them.
Admission, Reservations & Hours
General admission: $15 Adults | $11 Seniors (Ages 65+) & Students (Ages 13-18) | $9 Children (Ages 3-12) | Children 2 & under are free
After January 1, 2023, CNC members will no longer need to reserve a date and time of their arrival for most general admission events. Reservations will still be required for special events, Family Fun Days, and Sunset Sips. Group Rates are available for groups of 15 or more with advance reservations.

If you arrive after 4:30PM, you are welcome to browse the upper level of the Discovery Center, but return another day to experience the exhibits, Wildlife Walk, and grounds.

Hundreds of activities for all ages
Five wooded hiking trails cover beautiful Georgia Piedmont forest and can easily make visitors feel that they are far away from the city. All trails feature an abundance of plant and wildlife, year-round birding, and are perfect for beginners and experienced hikers.
CNC is proud to be involved with the protection, restoration and safeguarding of the many rare and endangered plant species of Georgia. Whether your interest is in gardening, horticulture, education, or science. CNC will keep you engaged with nature.
We’ve partnered with American Adventure Park Systems and Historic Banning Mills to bring you an experiential nature adventure from a different perspective and get a bird’s eye view of the beautiful Chattahoochee Nature Center from the tree canopy.
When you canoe with CNC, your naturalist will enlighten you on the cultural and natural history of the river. You’ll learn about important ecological relationships and environmental issues that affect this endangered river, while enjoying its peaceful qualities.
The Wildlife Department at the Chattahoochee Nature Center focuses on education and rehabilitation. Dozens of species of native Georgia raptors and reptiles call CNC home. CNC is teeming with friendly species for your little ones to meet and greet!
